Almost a year ago, Serious Game Blog tested a quite ambitious serious game: Secret Cam. After a year of activity, the Pôle Tice‘s director of Cnam Pays de la Loire, project manager, is publishing a series of articles introducing his experience on this awareness opening game.
Two articles have already been published and several others are already planned. The articles’ author, François Calvez, Pôle Tice‘s director of Cnam Pays de la Loire, share with us the game’s route to creation, the design frame, as well as the main results of a research-action project on the effects of this serious game on employees. In short, a complete overview of the project Secret Cam handicap.
With over 32 000 players, the least we can say is that this handicap awareness opening game has been quite popular. The research-action realised is constituted of a quantitative survey – 173 anonymous questionnaires filled after game sessions – and backed by a qualitative survey – a series of 11 one-on-one interviews and two participative observations. As for the effective results of these surveys, we will have to wait until the end of the articles series to be able to consult them.
If the feedback on Secret Cam‘s project is of interest to you, you will be able to find all the published articles as well as the one to come at this url: http://cnam-numerique-pdl.typepad.fr/numerique/
